This ideological obsession over what Israel has proven it does not do speaks to the threat Islam sees in Jewish sovereignty the ME. It's more then just ideological - it's a war over truth, and spiritual in nature - Allah vs. the God of Israel.

Hello all. I am new here and appreciate the viewpoint. I'll begin by admitting to near perfect ignorance on the subject. However, my perception is that that portion of the globe was relatively peaceful prior to the invention of the nation state of Israel. Since then, it has been a hell hole. Maybe I am wrong..,

With your admitted level of ignorance, why say anything? Do some research first. FFS

Tell me, brainiac: Is Israel the reason Muslims have been exterminating Christians in the Middle East and Africa? Was Israel the reason for the Iran-Iraq War? How about the Lebanese civil war? How about the Syrian civil war. And the war in Yemen? And the ongoing genocide in Darfur? Has Israel been the reason for Muslims killing Muslims for 1,400 years over who’s a real Muslim?

I recommend a great historical novel from 1972, by the world famous team of authors Larry Collins & Frenchman Dominique LaPierre, called “O, Jerusalem". They are renowned for their impeccable research. It will give you an excellent objective historical overview of the area & issues involved.

You are welcome. Their other books are great, too, esp "Freedom at Midnight", about the partition of India. Lord Mountbatten was assigned to oversee the partition, and the authors spent 2 years as his guests, in which he showed them all his meticulous records of those days
